I've been having a ongoing problem with Windows 7 not prioritizing LAN when Wifi is switched on. Switching Wifi off isnt an option (talking 50-100 laptop users) and will be an inconvenience to them.

The issue around this is that when on Wifi it doesn't seem to ask them to change their AD password on login when it has expired (often they don't even get the prior notifications).

I have tested both on Wifi and LAN and can confirm they do get the prompts as expected when on the LAN.

I've read and tried the 'matrix interface' suggestion and it didnt apear to work. The numbers changed (LAN lower than Wifi) but it still shows the Wifi icon. I have no doubt it is using both and I tested this copying a large file and it seems to utilize both.

However I want to not even have Wifi enabled but to be enabled/disabled by some sort of app. Im happy to pay for a trial of one if one exists.

Can you help please?

Hi. Sorry my english is not good and I must use GoogleTranslator
I search script for 20 laptop users for automatic enabled/disabled Wi-fi/LAN adapters over other types laptops and manufacturers. All over the Internet was a bit shit. Notebook users connect simultaneously to the wi-fi and lan until the damaged user profile, or lost data. At first I handled this situation so that I've windows in wifi adapter drivers entered user MAC same as the MAC LAN adapter. Desperate solutions although the basic problem to solve.
Over the next two years, I have tried a few scripts but again unusable. Until recently, I finally discovered a powershell script that is brilliantly simple. Thanks to a script I put together a solution that could help you, even if not perfect. But it will help you out of hell :))

1. Open all 32bit and 64bit powershell and powershell ISE at Windows and run as Administrator.
In each window type "set-executionpolicy RemoteSigned" and press Enter, then press Y and press Enter
Total for 4 powershells will agree change to allow run unsigned scripts.

2. unzip attachment and copy in windows explorer LANorWi.ps1 to C:\Windows\ Not use copy at Totallcommander!!!
After copying check whether the file properties in the security file is not necessary to unblock.
Do not copy the file in TotalCommander! Copying a file in Windows assigns the necessary permissions. It works in the domain.

3. In script replacements "wi-fi" string that is repeated in the name of wi-fi adapters for your laptops. I do the same thing with the text "ethernet".

4.XML file according to the version of Windows you use a new task in the Scheduler. Depending on what your security policy to specify how it will run. No need admin, works no problem for login user.

5. Sheduler event starts on connecting and disconnecting the network. ID suspect in 1000 or 1100 system. Test starts task on events. If it works one of the adapters will be disabled and then it will rotate by connecting and disconnecting the LAN cable.

6. It's so simple :)) And it works everywhere :)) Happy Hour!!!!

Good Luck.
P.H.

To connect or disconnect the network profile is EventID = 10000 and EventID = 10,001th
You can find it in the xml file.
My solution is probably not exactly what you are looking for, because do not want to disable wifi. Google translator to translate your text Czech worse than him I understood in English :)
Perhaps I did not write it with nothing.
