Auto text selection disable

Hi,

I have a question. Here is an example to best describe it.
When typing something into a search box for.... Firefox or search box on windows. When you click out of the box and click back in again, the text is auto selected in full.
What I want is to disable that so if I click in a specific place on the line of text the cursor is placed there and everything is not fully selected.

Can anyone help please?

Click a second time at the place you wish, doesn't work for you? Sometimes triple click by the way. Depends on how fast you click

It does if you are fast enough other wise it won't. I was wondering if this is a feature of windows that can be disabled ?

There is no option in Windows to change this behavior.
