IIs there a start up repair option there?
If so click it and it should boot normally.
Or,when your pc's loading there should be a key (F12 for me) to enter boot options, choose boot normally.
It could be that dell has a partition with all its repair facilities aswell. If you have another pc download Partition Wizard Bootable CD Home Edition and burn it to a disk. Free Download Partition Wizard
Then make sure boot from CD is allowed in Bios (Del when the PC is starting).
Once in PW hit enter on the initial screens.
Once there check that drive with your OS on it and see if the partition is set as Primary.
If not click Set as Primary>Apply
Reboot.
Let me know how you get on.

Usally dell have a hidden partition for their own software etc,i thought it might be set as primary instead of the OS partition. It should be active/boot/primary ,not secondary.
What options does the dell repair console give you?
