Automatic PC Restart.

Sometimes my PC automatic restart. I never click restart button. Why is that?
How do i overcome this matter? When windows starting it show "Windows is not shutdown correclty.....
Start normal" screen.
*Windows never show "Error message" in this process.

I think more details would be in order here. Particularly, what are you specifically doing on the PC when it automatically restarts? Do you get a Blue Screen, an error message, does it freeze and then restart or does it just go black then restart? Additionally, is there a pattern or does this happen randomly? Also, did this start recently or has it been happening for a while?

How do i check the event log?

Click Start >> Then Right Click Computer >> Select Manage >> Expand Event Viewer >> Expand Windows Logs.

Do you have any errors in Applications or System?

Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Then click Event Viewer.

Then look for any Errors

If you run any Virtual CD programs. That could be the problem. Normally you will find cdrom0 being an error.

therefore you need to disable any virtual clone drives eg, Virtual Clone Drive, Alcohol 120%, Daemon Tools etc etc when you aren't using them.

At the end of the RC it was set to shutdown every 2 hours (i think)

if not...
When you installed windows 7 did you use a genuine key (e.g. did you buy it) or did you just look for one online.

In that case i don't think you are, it normally says on the bottom right of the desktop or when you right click computer and select properties.

Where did you get the serial from to install it?

The best way to check what build of Windows 7 you have is to open up your start menu, type winver, press enter.


Somewhere in there it should say the build number. It would be helpful to know what build number it says for you.

I never installed OS in my PC i brought it a shop!
I think i should contact that shop for this issue

I have a susp, that you are using an RC version that wasnt activated by the store. Therefore has left you in the poops by shutting down/restarting every 2hours and locked you out of options. By that I mean limit access
