Hello,

i have a bit of a random query.

i have me (admin), and one other user (also admin) using the windows 7 pc.

so, two users are setup, and both users appear upon start-up,

of which you have to then select the user you want to load into.

we only setup another user for itunes purposes, different profiles, different accounts were needed. neither here or their.

But i was wondering, we only use one of the users mainly. Hardly ever use the second.

Is their a way, (Still keeping hold of the second profile user2), of automaticaly loading up the main user1 when turning on the pc.
...a way in which you would not have to manually select the user you want?

Many thanks,

Stuart

Hello Stuart,

Yes, you could use the tutorial below to set Windows 7 to automatocally logon to the user account of your choice at startup.

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/377-log-automatically-startup.html

If you ever wanted to use the other user account, then you could use the normal log off or switch user in the Start Menu arrow menu to log on to it afterwards.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Stuart, type netplwiz as administrator at the search programs and files window and unselect "users have to enter a user name and password to use this computer" and then you can select the correct user, supply the password for that user
and when you reboot. it should come up in that user.
If you want to logon with the second user, you go to the marble and log
off, then it should give you the option to log on with the second user.
