AutoPlay settings

I see in the AutoPlay settings that external devices such as flash drives and hard drives are not specifically mentioned. Does that mean that the settings in the dialog do not apply to them? I've unchecked "use autoplay for all devices" at the top, I am wondering if that will disable autoplay on flash drives and hard drives?

Thanks

Thanks, but that tut still does not make any distinction between available settings for flash drives and optical media.

As best I can tell by researching this, AutoPlay and AutoRun are disabled in Win 7 on all devices that are not optical drives, and cannot be turned on by any readily available means. (which is what I was hoping for).

Has anyone here seen any indication that enabling AutoRun as per the tutorial referenced above would in fact enable it on flash drives and external hard drives?

Thanks
