When using the Net Defense firewall from Avanquest System Suite 10, I am having internet connection problems. This occurs after logging off a user profile and logging into any profile on the computer.
Browsers hang half loaded and any process requiring internet access will not work. Occasionally Windows will freeze. I found that Windows firewall was also active.
Unsuccessful:
Disabled Windows Firewall-- no effect
remove and reinstall System Suite 10
Work around---disable Net Defense, the reactivate (probably not secure!)
You don't want to run 2 firewalls. Can you edit the Net defender "firewall" to make sure it's not blocking "everything" by default? If not, I would probably suggest not using the defender firewall.
You should not run two firewalls at once. It will cause conflicts with each other and cause system errors. For maximum protection, just use Windows firewall IMO. That's all you need.
Do take note, practise safe browsing. Use your common sense.
