Avast free anti-virus will not let me Delete its folder.

I've tried going through the "takeown" process and just going into Properties/Security/Ownership.......but nothing seems to be letting me delete the folder.

Here are the errors I get after trying both:
1. An error occurred while applying security information to: C:\Program Files\AVAST Software\Avast
Access is denied
Contine Cancel

2. If you have just taken ownerhsip of this object, you will need to close and reopend this object's properties before you can view or change permissions.
OK

NOT OK!!

I've already "deleted" the program, using Revo Uninstaller....but the folder still exists....and a constant reminder "YOU'RE AT RISK......YOUR AVAST ANTI-VIRUS HAS EXPIRED" is a non-stop annoyance.

Has anyone had this problem? Got the easy solution?

Beautiful! It's gone!

I had actually tried that program earlier today......but wasn't sure of the version number, so, picked avast 32.

This time I double checked and found it was ver 7, so I knew which one to pick
