Solved Avast Vs MS System Essentials

I'm currently using Avast and MS System Essentials. Are they doing the same thing? Should I be using only one program? Thanks

Yes, you should only use one. I assume you mean MS Security Essentials, and not System Essentials?

Both have excellent reputations, use that one that suites you best.

Avast would be my choice.

Good choice, though both Avast and MSE are very good AV. Be sure just to update it reguarly..
