Free edition is just an anti-virus.

The Internet Security Edition should be anti-virus/firewall etc.

In my opinion, You'd be better off saving your hard earned cash by using the free edition along side the stock Windows Firewall. Should be sufficient protection.

actually it´s not.

windows firewall doesn´t block OUTGOING connections (by default),
it can be set to do it, but that requires creating a lot of rules manually.

get Comodo´s FREE firewall instead.

i use all free stuff:
antivirus- avast
firewall- windows 7 firewall control (essentially windows 7 firewall with an easy ui to block outgoing connections)
hips- winpatrol + peerblock

- the free version of comodo covers hips+firewall+antivirus but it was a bit too intrusive/not user friendly enough for my liking (ie lazy hands off novice type pc user).
