Solved AVG, Avast, MSE Wich one is best? and what properties do they have?

Hi! i was searching for help from you guys and someone suggested me to trash AVG and use MSE instead, But it looks like avast is very good too. I whant to know wich one secures the best and what properties each of them have.

As for me, I only use MSE and Malwarebytes throughout my entire system and in all the years that I have run them, I've never had an infection. I do have the paid verson of Malwarebytes so it's running all the time. There have been cases where it will find something that MSE doesn't. On the other hand, MSE has caught things before MBAM did.

I've not used Avast for years, so I can't give an opinion on that.

As for using only the two I mentioned, that's my own desire and choice, and wouldn't argue with anyone else's choice of what they use. The main thing is that people are trying to protect themselves and that's all good.

While you shouldn't ever run two anti-virus programs at the same time, it's my understanding that MSE won't interfere with one if you have it. Don't know that from my own experience, though.

I had read that MSE wouldn't interfere with other AVs but that wasn't true when I tried it. During the four or five months when I ran MSE by itself, it let two infections through. I also found the only way to get it to update virus definitions automatically was to schedule quick scans. That wasn't practical for me at the time because I was using my notebook at the time and had it turned on only when I actually used it. The only updates that happened were the ones I made manually.

I went back to using Avast free and haven't had any problems since. It updates several times a day (one can determine how often it updates) and the various bells and whistles it has can be turned off if desired.

For the past year or so, MSE has consistently rated low in various AV reviews for blocking infections. Based on that and my own experiences with it, there is no way I could ever recommend its use.

I've never used AVG. It once had a reputation of being heavily bloated which hampered computer operation but I hear that is no longer the case due to the increased resources most computers have now.

Same as above. I'm running MSE and Malwarebytes Pro and never had any problems.

What did you have Prior to downloading MSE ?
Was it properly Uninstalled ?

Nothing, someone on this forum recomended me to delete avg and install MSE s i did it but im very open for improvements

Okay good then you used the AVG uninstall utility,
AVG | Download tools and utilities
Other than that it's hard to beat the price of Malwarebytes Pro,
The Pro version provides real time protection the free version does not,
The free version also does not self update,

Yes that isn't true you can only have one AV installed at any time, but Malewarebytes should work with other antivirus software it was designed that way.
