avoid avast antivirus junkware trojan downloader

i heard good things about avast that susposed to be better than microsoft essentials to me it isnt i unclicked the software i didnt want then the avast was installed then avast allowed google update into my pc and installed google chrome without my permission! what a joke thank god for winpatrol who blocked them trying to install junk on my pc!! well is there really a antivirus that free that doesnt contain bloat doesnt install junk you dont need on your pc?doesnt slow down your pc??someone save my life please!!!

Winpatrol has caught more malware than any AV product its simple blocking anything new from running without you say ok

Just about anything is better than mse
Avast has become entirely too bloated which comes from being popular

I've personally been using panda free which anything that redirects to a cnet downloader will come with some items one would not want it is easy to use the custom install and uncheck the cnet added crap.

Surely their must be something good about it!
Many millions like me use MSE without any problems.

Choosing one's security program is taunting and to some degree trial and error.
What security programs suites one needs and desires varies from person to person.

I tried Panda a month or so ago and didn't like it but yet many do like it.
My desires are probably different than many other users.
I do not want a anti virus program doing more than the name implies.
I do not want it to clean, speedup or check a bunch of things on my systems.
I just want it to be a anti virus program and I will take care of the rest.

I will not tell anybody that MSE is the answer for everybody, because it's not.
I will suggest that one should put MSE on the list of anti virus to research.

Years ago I was one that bought a new brand of anti virus program about 4 times a year. Every time a new survey came out I bought what ever was rated the best.
I finally got tired of removing the old and installing the new best and tried MSE.
Been using it for years without problems. Maybe I'm just a lucky dork.

I'm still getting used to avast, since I got sick of AVG about a week ago & decided to try avast. Its install asks you if you want Chrome & I think there might have been one or two other things. Of course, you should uncheck or decline such things during the installation process. You need to keep your wits about you when you install stuff. Don't just blindly click OK. Your problem with avast would probably not have occurred if you had paid closer attention during install. Now, I'm not saying avast is the best or worst at anything, but I agree it does seem to want to do a bunch of stuff about cleaning up & tuning for performance. Just don't enable those components & when it bugs you to run them, just say no. The short story is always pay attention.
