Solved Back to W7. Network not working but is on the Virtual XP Mode

Hi.
I am back with W7 after an excursion to W10, that had too many annoyances and needs some TLC from MS.

Anyway, upon my return I find that I cannot access the internet (BT) my BTHUB3 states that it is connected, all the settings I check all seem to be correct. I can connect from the same PC using Virtual XP Mode (As I am doing here!).

There would seem to be an external/system block somewhere, I had a similar problem within W10 that turned out to be a setting in Bitdefender TS 2015 'Block internet connection sharing' which was somehow ticked and once turned off internet connection resumed. On this PC the option is still off but am still not able to connect.

Another PC on my home network can connect to my PC and can also connect the internet, so there is no reason I can see why my W7 cannot!

Well, I would like to say that I found the problem, but I can't. For some unknown reason the internet was working again this evening after a few re-boots this afternoon that made no difference!

Oh well, I'm a happy bunny again
