Hello-

I have Win 7 on an SSD (C:\), and use another 1 TB HDD (D:\) for storage. I have moved the

following Folders over to the Storage (D:\) drive- My Documents, My Music, My Videos, My Pictures,

and Downloads.

In doing a Back Up from within Win 7 I'm trying to get a full Image of system. A one time deal.

Under 'Check Your Backup Result' > 'The backup completed but some files were skipped' > OPTIONS>

the Details indicate an error code of '0x8100002F'. Under 'View skipped files', a blank Notepad opens.

Could someone explain to me how to address this issue?...Thanks.

Windows back up can be very temperamental & often fails to do what you want. A lot of the members on the Forum prefer Macrium Reflect, as I do. There is a free version but the paid version does provide some useful options.

Have a look at this website & see if it suits you.

Yeah, thanks, Ranger4... I like Macrium, and that's what I use (see attachment)...just wondered why

Win 7 BU acts that way. Also have whole system image of both drives on flash drive.

My SSD's actin' up a bit, maybe, and just want to make sure I have viable BU for personal docs, etc.

Samsung will RMA the drive, but I'll buy another one and do clean install, save RMA'd drive for Win 10 Pro

'1511' build.
