Solved Backed up all files within a folder to a single .zip file - Lost dates

I unzipped all the files into an empty folder, and noticed the dates were gone. Is this a feature of WinZip? If so, how can I maintain the original dates on the files/folder? Or would 7zip copy the dates? Or a different backup/compression utility? This is a major deal since I have hundred of cell photos identified as (randomnumber).jpg. Thanks.

Best solution offered was use 7-zip which preserves the dates.
