When I go into "Backup & Restore Your Files" & try to use any of the "Backup" features/selections, none of the selection options respond. "Manage Space" "Turn on Schedule" & "Change Settings" do nothing when I click on them? The "Backup Now" button also is unresponsive.

I would try checking for corrupt system files by running the system file checker. Open an elevated command prompt and type "sfc /scannow" w/o the quotes and hit enter. Wait a few minutes for it to do its thing and it will give you a little report if it finds anything or not.

Otherwise, you may have to do a repair install which fortunately does not mess up your programs, data and most settings. Nevertheless, it's a always a good idea to have your important data backed up to external media before doing something like this.

Peter, I did the file checker which came up clean. I then did the repair install hoping that would ultimately fix the issue. bad news, after the install the Backup & Restore links still were dead. What i did discover along the way is that I can get a backup to start & run OK if I unplug my IOMEGA ext hard drive & reconnect. I then get prompted with the usual what do you want to do with this device? One of the options is Run a backup. When I select that option the backup does run & shows itself as running in the Backup window. However, all the associated links in the Backup & Restore window are still dead.
