Backup system

Hello
For sometime I am trying to make a backup to the system (as admin and only user), the backup starts and at 7% it stops and does not go further, I have waited for an hour or so and then I stopped the process.
The place I intended to store the backup is on an almost empty drive.
A year ago I managed to make a backup, but it is old.
I tried to make the back up while connected to the Internet and again while not connected - both were the same, at 7% it stopped, there was no progress.
Any reasons for this issue ??

What kind of backup system are you using? If it is Windows Backup, you can do better. Try using this.
Macrium Reflect Free I have never heard of anyone that had Macrium fail. I have used it many times and it is always reliable. Download it and make your Image, not a Clone. An image is more reliable. You need to make the backup on a different drive than what your OS is on. Let us know if you need any assistance.
