Backing up has various meanings, but "move" is not usually not part of any definition. Copy, yes; move, no.

ignatzatsonic is absolutely correct. A backup is copying fles and moving them to another disk. Rule #1 is never backup to the disk you are backing up. Backups are to preserve files in case of disk failure or disk corruption. They have to be on another disk to be useful to you.
