Hello all,

I have been reading posts here ever since I got my Windows 7. Today, I have had to sign up because I have a problem with my OS/HDD.

Some days back, I got a "Windows detected a hard disk problem". So I scheduled a check disk. It moved some files, and my is back to normal (not slow anymore).

But the thing is, I still get the same dialog at least 4 times a day. Is that something to worry about ?

Should I change HDD or just reformat this one ?

Thanks for your help.

Welcome to Windows Seven Forums.

My course of action would be to back up anything important right away, and then invest in a new hard drive.

You're lucky you've had a warning - very often you don't get one before a hard drive fails.

Thanks. I will do that.

So you think that a hard drive with some bad sectors won't run for long ?
