Bad SSD?

I bought a Samsung 250GB SSD and it has been working fine for a few months however the past two or three weeks I've been having issues. Every once in a while (two or three times a week?) my harddrive will act like it's failing. Things stop working (I was downloading something and the download randomly failed, windows explorer fails to open folders) then I get a BSOD. I unplug the SSD and plug it back in and restart the computer and it boots up just fine but something isn't right. It worked for months without an issue but now it's becoming a problem. Is the hard drive failing? Bad cords? Any ideas?
