Ok,guys I have been working on a client computer recieving a BAD_POOL CALLER error. This is a Dell Deminsion 8200, Win XP Home. Unable to provide any other specs as I was unable to get past this BSOD. Tried loading original oem disk, disk loaded to repair, pressed (r) for repair, comes back to BSOD BAD_POOL_CALLER. Also, unbale to use safe mode or any other mode.Tried to reload Win XP with fresh install recieved same error.

Decided to DBAN or nuke the HD. Waiting for DBAN to finish the three pass wipe out.

Need suggestions on how to conqer or solve this issue in the future.

Thank you

Curtis

Test your RAM - Test with Memtest86+ for 5-6 passes or overnight.

If you can zip up the minidump file and upload to a file server then link it in our Crashes forum, the experts there can analyze the exact cause.

The client told me that her daughter had connected her Ipod via usb and down loaded from Itunes. Pulled memory, cd rom, floppy, and all other periphals and still could not get f past the BSOD ( BAD_POOL_CALLER). Would like to know two things: Where are the dunp files and how do you down load them to save them. As I mentioned earlier, I could not get past the BSOD to do anyting.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, The operating system is Windows XP, and was not able to load the repair option using the original OEM Disk, Unable to use Safe Mode, Unable to use Last Known Configutation, Unable to re-load fresh install of Windows XP using the OEM Disk. Due to this bsod error.

Thanks, Still Learning, learning Still
