Bad_Pool_Caller

today after being gone for several days and having my computer off while I was gone it booted up okay, and then after logging in as it came up I got the BSOD with a Bad_pool_caller.

Hopefully you can help with clearing this up.

I often get a blue screen I don't always catch the problem, it reboots and is fine. the first boot will have a problem then the next one usually is fine.

There are many issues here. Lets start with old drivers. To be honest there are so many old components were it mine I would do a clean install.

Old drivers from as far back as 1997. These have to be updated or removed

How To Find Drivers:

- search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.

After doing the drivers please run a System File Cehck to verify and repair OS files.

There are many files that differ from standard MS files and it makes me wonder where did you get you win 7?
