BAD_POOL_HEADER caused by tcpip.sys (no sound anymore)

I experienced a BAD_POOL_HEADER BSOD on June 11 and yesterday when I was trying to re-install my audio card drivers (trying to fix what happened on June 11). On June 11, the BSOD happened overnight while my computer was idle. That is when my sound started to no longer work.

I tried re-installing my audio card driver, but no luck. I ran sfc /scannow and got a bunch of errors (some pertaining to my windows updates which I always have a hard time with, even when installing manually, but that is another story). The CBS.log is attached along with the DM log collector info.

I have an HTO Claro audio card. Tried installing the driver posted on their webpage, but since that never worked in the past, I tried he c-media driver that's always worked for me. Unfortunately, it did not work this time.

Thanks in advance for any help. :)

We need more information to analyze your logs. Follow Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions, let the tool run until it has completely finished and then upload the new logs.

Running "dm log collector.exe" (also tried as administrator). It tells me to press a key so it can grab the data, then it says it has collected it all and stored it in a folder on my desktop. I see the folder, the command prompt says to press any key to continue, and when I do, the command prompt disappears, and so does the folder on my desktop. Only uploaded that folder in the zip because I copy and pasted it before the command prompt closed after I pressed a key the second time around.

The logs are incomplete. However, I did manage to come across this:

Update to Service Pack 1 via Windows Updates before we proceed any further.

Unable to update to SP1. Tried installing some windows updates, and eleven failed to install. I also tried running WindowsUpdateDiagnostic and Hotfix for Windows (KB947821) (Windows6.1-KB947821-v33-x64). Hotfix did not work, and the WindowsUpdateDiagnostic said it fixed some things (including windows updates), but I tried installing SP1, the hotfix, and the windows updates again and nothing worked.

I'd like to suggest that the Windows Update issue(s) be resolved first. Then once the system is current, address the audio driver - once Windows is up-to-date, roll the driver all the way down to the base MS driver, reboot, run Windows Update and install the driver from the optional offers.

Then tackle the BSOD.

Boozad is advising on a current method, take no action on this unless a change in direction is warranted.
