Hey guys,

I need some answers fast to my problem, because i'm desperate to install w7. Recently my dell inspiron 1525 has broken. It was sent to dell and it was fixed by replacing the memory and the hdd. Today it came home, but with xp on it. New hdd, new memory ... it should be everything ok right? The problem is a blue screen when i'm trying to set up W7. It boots from dvd, it loads "WINDOWS IS LOADING FILES" bar, then the icon of w7 appears like it's going to start the setup but within seconds a blue screen appears: BAD_SYSTEM_CONFIG_INFO .. and it stops there. PLS NEED HELP!

Regards,
Smokey ;)

Yeah, usually you only run into that when the kernel is unable to load the boot loader. I would suspect media problems as well, although bad or mismatched RAM can cause it too. Question - is this install booting from a DVD or a USB key, and can you verify it boots at least to start setup in another machine?

I also agree about the media. Plus I have that very laptop with Windows 7 and it works perfectly.
