Baldur's Gate II Black Screen / Freeze [FORCE RESTART]

I trie installing Baldur's gate II, my favorite game, an hour ago and just after it finishes installing it says smething along the lines of showing me a DirectX enabled movie just to test my video card.

Whether I click "ok" or "close", it opens the movie anyway in fulscreen. The screen goes black and I can't do a thing. No ctrl/alt/del - nothing.

I am forced to restart.

What could be causing this?

Well first we are going to need more info, please fill out your system specs in your UserCP, next did you install the directX that came with the game it might install something for directX that the directX 11 system is missing causing the error.

EDIT:

I got it working by disabling 3D Acceleration and using the widescreen mod.
