Battery Meter problem

Hi guys..

I have wired problem here ..My laptop's battery meter doesn't move up and down when i plug in the charger .. But it's charges normally 10% 11% no problem in that..

Am using Win7 7264 I though maybe it's bug or something so I tried my vista the same charging without moving :huh:

any suggestions:shock:

This maybe a motherboard problem. I would go to hp website and see if they have a new firmware for your laptop. Since this happens in Win7 and Vista if I read your post right.

Edit: I did and flashed my BIOS to ver 16 ( From Ver.14) and the problem still exsist..

Chargging without any moving from the meter :\

Is the little light on showing that it is charging when it is on? If it is, try shutting down the laptop properly...remove the power plug...remove the battery and leave it sit for about a minute. Do not insert the battery and start it back up with only the charger...boot to the desktop. Turn it off again and insert the battery. reboot. Check if it still exists. If it does it may be a software problem or a hardware problem. You would have to talk to customer support after that but they wont help you since Windows 7 isnt released yet, especially if you have RC.

Let me know what happens.
