battery problem

I have a laptop. i install windows7 in it. aafter insatlling it, i have a problem in my Power plan.

my PC is turn off after running on battery.

a blank screen displays and then turning off.

how can i correcti it?

Also do you have the latest firmware on your laptop for BIOS and all updated drivers and windows updates?

At this point it might just be easier to upgrade to the most recent build its 7260 (32 bit) and it might cure uour porblem
