It has a beta now, a closed one. If you have a origin account you can sign up to see if you can get it. I opened battlelog and it gave me the chance to sign up. Waiting on an email to see if I'm in.

Can't remember the last time I play a game where the enemy ai would be self sufficient (smart?) and changed tactics every time you restarted the game, level or what have you.

Yes BF is good. I don't know why but my internet is slow today. I did a speedtest run, I'm normally 20/2. Tonight it's 2/2. Oh well, it may be the storm rolling through . Was hoping to play some tonight as I'm on a road trip tomorrow.

Do you know how long the beta is Gav, I haven't read up on it yet

To be honest Doug I haven't got a clue, I haven't read anything into it at all and didn't even realise the beta was out until my mate emailed me the link to sign up. This one hasn't got me anywhere near interested as BF4 did, but I'll download the beta when I get home from work and give it a shot tonight.

I just started mine off after my broadband boost from 60Mb to 100Mb.

I've installed it but will be busy all afternoon sitting in the garden with a can of Export in my hand enjoying the sun so I'll get a round or four in tonight.

Had twenty minutes or so on it and I think it's bloody awful. It looks terrible and the gameplay gets centered around one spot on the map.

Hopefully Hardline doesn't suffer the same type of delays.

Hmm. That doesn't bode well. You'd think visually it'd be on par with 4 at least.

I'd have thought so but it just isn't. Maybe that will change on full release and the beta is to stress test the servers? I don't know, but I'm not impressed. The gameplay just didn't do it for me either, rounds were over fairly quickly and large parts of the map were left unoccupied with virtually everybody crammed into one or two areas of the map.
