It already went past us hear on the NC coast....just some light winds at the moment with possible some more rain to come...

Still trying to understand how america can't cope with a single cat 1 hurricane for the year when east asia copes up with an average of 4 tropical storms and/or hurricanes/typhoons ranging from category 1-5 every month without any real problems. You would expect our engineering can handle such storms.

Sandy is all that I've been hearing in the news today.

As long as this 'storm' doesn't wake the flying monkeys I'll be fine.

Full tank of gas. 5 gal reserve drinking water. 3 days groceries (unfrozen). 2 months reserve groceries (frozen). Canned goods. 250+ watt solar system. Bucket water filter system. Two inverters, 200+aH deep cycle reserve bank. 18v tool kit. Plenty of warm clothing including outdoor jazz, socks, work boots, plenty of ammo & clean underwear.
I'll be a little upset though if the deli up the street closes for a few days and I can't get hot garlic wings.

My Natural Gas 18Kw generator has just been checked and it works. Thanks to an ice storm about 10 years ago, I opted to spend the $5K and it has really been a godsend as we lose power quite often.
Computers, TV and furnace works great..
