BelArc says I am missing 99 updates. I have run MBSA 3-4 times and MBSA says that I am all good on security updates. WU also seems to second that opinion from MBSA. It's not odd for BelArc to be wrong and I did email their support to see if they had any feedback. I tried to download about 10 or so of these all of which came back as the update being not applicable to my system. Over my download history I downloaded a few rollups as updates so maybe that's it.

Here is what BelArc says that I am missing:

I was wondering if anyone had any feedback on this. I am tending to sway on the side of trusting MBSA and WU over BelArc. It would bother me though seeing as how many of these are important/critical if I am hanging out in the open and do not know it.

I'd go with whatever WU says.

I have no idea what MBSA is.

As you say yourself, Belarc is often wrong.

If you have plenty of time to spare, you can research each of those KBs individually and confirm to your own satisfaction that you don't have them but want to install them for some reason. I wouldn't go to that much effort personally.

Looks like maybe a dozen are rated critical---you might start with those.

Of your list of 99 kb's that Belarc says you should have, 2 of them are on my "bad" list:

3086255, 3124280

Of the other 97 kb's, 93 of them are on my list of what a typical win-7 Ultimate SP1 32-bit system would have if all "good" kb's were installed on it, including only the good kb's contained in the convenience roll-up (of which there are 107).

That leaves 4 KB's on your list that I don't have in my "good/installed" list:

2532531 3072630 3139940 3153171

I'm going to check those out and see if I should include them in the custom Win-7 Installation Image that I'm creating with RT7.

Note that if you installed the convenience roll-up (kb 3125574) then your system will not show the over-100 kb's that are contained inside that single kb. I was going to suggest that your list of 99 kb's could be the same kb's contained in the convenience roll-up, but that's not the case. None of the 99 kb's that Belarc says is missing from your system matches the kb's contained in the convenience roll-up.
