Sorry to bump something so old, but did you ever get this working correctly? I've tried almost everything and i can't get my dongle to work under 7 x64.

It's quite annoying I guess with windows 7 people. Here is a fix to the drivers problems. Because Windows 7 cannot recognise the drivers automatically you'll have to feed the drivers manually. This is how you do it.
Right click on my computer ---Properties
Go to Device Manager (on your left hand top corner)
Go to your bluetooth driver that usually has an ! mark to it
right click update driver software
Browse my computer for software manually
Specify the location where you downloaded drivers from Belkin
To update this. I got the Bluetooth working. Know how I fixed it? I went and purchased a pair of AZiO BTD211 dongles and all was good with the world. Works wonderfully under 7 x64

I was able to use my old trendnet dongle by grabing newer drivers for dongles that support win 7 since mine didn't. It took a little effort but it worked well.
