This may be of use to someone.

After trying for a couple of hours and failing miserably in installing my 7050 adapter on my desktop which included downloading to my laptop all the applicable versions of the software then putting then on a flash drive to insert into the PC I let the device manager search the computer. I had already tried to use the set-up disk that came with it originally and that would not load as it would not accept the operating system. By a stroke of luck I had forgotten to remove the CD and the device manager found the files and installed them in seconds.

Going to Windows update that then found a newer driver and installed it.

Seasons greetings to all.

Belkin have dropped the ball on Windows 7 support. Before I figured out how to possibly fix it I bought a new wireless adapter. Force the setup file to run in windows xp SP3 mode and as admin see it that works.
