Hi all - somewhere down the line Win7 SP1 managed to get removed - obviously something I did somewhere. Have tried the update route and it comes up with the infamous 80073712 error. Have run Windows6.1-KB947821-v26-x64.msu with Avast and Malwarebytes disabled. Then tried to apply windows6.1-KB976932-X64.exe (the SP1 update file) - still no luck so the only option is a repair install.
Before that though my PC is running just fine with all updates applied apart from SP1. Are there any real world benefits to going down a repair install simply to get SP1.
Any input appreciated - regards
