I prefer KIS 2011 it does not block harmless content as NIS does

G Data uses Avast! and BitDefender engines. I don't know what version of BitDefender but it uses an earlier Avast! engine.

The Kaspersky engine (don't know the version) is used in ZoneAlarm products.

A quick search on Google suggests that older versions of G Data use the Kaspersky engine, along with the BitDefender engine.

I have decided to get the KIS 2011.. It works flawless and makes me feel like my computer is protected. Unlike Norotn, i don't get a pop up every 2 seconds saying a pop up has been blocked.
