Best method/software for a digital signature?

Looking for the easiest method that will allow me to digitally sign PDFs and Word Docs.

Any ideas?

I'm not sure this is what you want, but I simply signed my name on paper, scanned it, and saved it as a png file. I am able to insert this into a Word document or a PDF. I use Foxit Reader for the latter.

I just figured out that its incredibly easy to do with Adobe Acrobat so I am all set!
