Thanks Maxi, have tried the site and it seems not possible to d/l the converter only without a couple of "other bits" I don't want. I already have their Audio Conv and Video downloader and like their stuff.

Am trying ConverterLite, nice and simple. They say to convert to mpeg-2 for DVD compatible output format, this doesn't play on my TV. Is this the correct format I need.

Hi there ... You need to look into your DVD player manual, it'll tell you what video formats are supported.. Or you could just connect your Laptop to your TV using a HDMI cable if your television has a HDMI socket ... You can get a cable very cheap from pound shops .. Not the best but they do work ...

Honestly the best and quick way is to buy this it will give you instant connection if you have DVR it's possible to record it from there and store it Micro Center - Computers, Electronics, Computer Parts, Networking, Gaming, Software, and more!

I'm sure you can get cheaper but this will be direct you can also use VLC it will stream to a device that is compatible as well

It is possible to download Freemake without the dross. Just chose a custom install and untick the boxes you don't want.
