Best online site for custom built laptop?

Hi,
I see this question asked & answered on several forums - Tom's hardware doesn't seem to like Cyberpowerpc or Ibuypower too much, anyway these are the sites I have decided to chose from. Unless someone can shed more light.

Maingear
Falcon
& Originpc.com


cyberpowerpc & ibuypower are more in line with what I would like to pay, in fact Maingear & Falcon run almost twice what I would pay for a comparable machine from cyberpowerpc or ibuypower?

Do any of you have personal experience with cyber or ibuy?

Is this like asking what is the best Anti-virus & will generate a hundred different responses.

Well have you tried the Dell online site?? I have had a couple of desktops with them using the online customization and I found them ok.

I did try the Dell site but had some difficulty locating laptops (or Ultrabooks) with only one drive & an SSD @ that. The options were fairly limited - all I got were three versions of the XPS 15 Touch all of which had 512GB SSD, Windows 8.1 & 16GB RAM. Suppose I could contact them. The Alienware site doesn't have a 15" laptop.

So I am being pretty specific in my customization = Core i7-4700 or above (87 chipset), 250(ish)GB SSD preferably Samsung 840 (EVO OK) - no mSATA or RAID, 8GB RAM 1600Mhz, Windows 7 Home & a 15 - 16" screen.

The Sager @ xoticpc looks pretty nice & in my price range.

Ok mate just was a thought and I guess the Dell are pretty limited to what the can get and atwhat specs you want eh?

As for the 840 and the EVO well I have both in two of my machines and it would be hard to pick the difference between them in my view the extra little bit of grunt with the 840 PRO I don't think warrants the extra cost. Out here that can be as much as $70!! The EVO in this - my main machine is a flyer and much less than the 840 PRO. But there again I don't game or try to have the very quickest in the world.
What I would say is that Samsung in my opinion is the best of the SSD's.

The RAM I guess you are at the mercy of the builder if there were a way of building them yourself it is then an advantage to choose and pick.

I agree the EVO is the way to go & is also abut $70 less here & Tom's Hardware awarded it top honors for 2013 Smart Buy.

Cyberpowerpc offers 1866 Mhz RAM (G.Skill Ripjaws) with their builds. So far Cyberpowerpc gets my vote.

Are the prices better there than actually from Sager?

I know Bongo has a Sager, he got from them a while back.
