Best OS Drive & Best Storage Drive Recommendations

I'm going to buy a new hard drive for a new OS installation, and I'd like to know what the most reliable, well performing drive is, for the best price. I'm thinking about a 1 Terabyte drive because I'll probably install Windows 7, XP, and possibly try to build a Hackintosh too. So I'll probably make 3 partitions, or 4 since Windows 7 requires an extra partition for the bootmgr or whatever.

Also, I'm looking for storage drive recommendations. I bought a Samsung HD240UI quite awhile ago and it's performed well so far.

It depends on what your personal interest is in directly.
Are you more concerned with performance, or longevity?
Are you more concerned with energy use, or seek times?

This isn't something we can really help with. By a hard drive from a reputable brand that is the size/speed you want. As for the OS, I'd stick with one as your primary, and then virtualize the others.

best drive for os, id suggest an SSD of 60gb or larger. corsair force 3 120gb gets my vote, for storage a 2tb should serfice

I think for now I'm going to avoid SSD because of the prices. I also checked the reviews awhile ago and there seem to be problems (with the firmware etc) they're still working out.
