Solved Best Solution To Repair Laptop With Viruses?

Hi, I was wondering what is the best program/solution out there to repair computer viruses. Like malware, trojans etc. I think the laptop is Windows Vista.

Also, I was thinking of reinstalling without formatting the harddrive but I wanted to know if there is another, less drastic solution apart from that.

I think the security experts on this Forum would say that no anti-malware tool is 100% effective 100% of the time. Some malware may be so deeply embedded that no security product can find it. So even if you scan with several anti-malware tools, you can never be 100% sure that all traces of malware have been removed. On the other hand, if you run several different scans and they all come back clean, well ... maybe the computer really is without malware.

As far as "the best" program/solution to use, I believe there is no best. If there was such a thing we'd all be using it and all the other companies would probably be out of business. Some of the reputable products include Avast, Avira, BitDefender, Comodo, Emsisoft, ESET, Malwarebytes, SuperAntispyware, etc etc.

In my opinion, the best way to rid a machine of malware is to do a clean install of the operating system. These tutorials give more info:
