Sorry if this has already been covered, but I couldn't find a succinct, up-to-date solution.
A Samsung laptop on my home network is running W7 Ultimate.
It persists in choosing wifi over wired.
Is there a simple app that will correct this situation?
Or do I need to configure it myself?
Mea culpa: As I age, I tend to look for the easiest solution to problems, oft forgetting that I once knew the answer
EDIT: This app looked likely but I've no idea how to install it: GitHub - sean-m/wifi-sitter: It's a babysitter for your WiFi nic.

Disable the wireless device in the Device Manager and keep only the ethernet device enabled.
You can re-enable the wireless device when you want to use it.
