Best way to sync two disk drives?

Was a bit curious about the transfer speed between two WD disks. Motherboard and disks support speeds up to 3Gb/s bit I only get around 70-80MB/s.

That's the theoretical speed...not the actual speed. 70-80 MB/s doesn't sound bad at all.

The beauty of SyncToy is that your backups are in a usable form as well, so if your main computer goes belly up, you can plug your backup drive into another computer and acces your data without any extra software.

That is the maximum speed at which a 7200 RPM spinning disk can transfer data. If you like faster, I recommend this beauty - best in a USB3 enclosure. There is also a 3.5" version.
