My PC came with a Recovery Program, but I also made DVDs. I did a clean install of Windows 7 but it became too much hassle reinstalling my Drivers and whatnot, so I'm just going back to how it came with all the bloatware, which I will remove manually.

Is it better/safer to use the Program or DVDs.

You should not have to reinstall any drivers. The Win7 installer is nearly driver-complete, with newer arriving quickly via optional Windows Updates.

Any drivers then missing in Device Manager can be found on the Support Downloads webpage for your computer here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...062&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=&sw_lang=&product=4065726

If you miss some apps that came preinstalled, you can extract them individually from the HP Recovery Disks using this method: http://www.sevenforums.com/installa...are-after-clean-win-7-install.html#post488270

There are many clean reinstall specialists in this forum so let us help you since there is no better Win7 install than a clean reinstall without bloatware, and even uninstalling bloatware can create more corruption.

Reinstalling drivers for an OEM system is never a hassle, especially when you can download them ahead of time. But, if you really think that's too much of a hassle, why not make your own restore disc from a clean image?
