Bf 2142

I got windows 7 computer and basically no games run without dicking around with the setting for 8 hours. SO, BF 2142 is supposed to run fine in windows 7. Install deluxe, activate game, install punkbuster and patch 1.5 and it keeps saying, "Conflict with Emulation Software detected." How do I fix it?

I had no issues at all with 2142. I'm not sure why you're getting the message you are, but have you tried running it as admin?

Right click on the 2142 icon, select properties, select the compatibility tab, and at the bottom under Privilege Level, check Run this program as an administrator. Hit apply, hit OK, then see if the game runs.

If that doesn't work, we're going to need more information, so if you could fill out your complete system specs that would be good. Just knowing you're running Windows 7 isn't enough. 32-bit or 64-bit? What about all your other hardware?

It isn't a Windows 7 problem, but a lack of a decent video card in that laptop. Sorry to say but even if you managed to get a game like BF2142 to run on Intel graphics, the experience would not be enjoyable. In your case what passes for a video card is integrated into the CPU,

Highly doubting it's that based on the "Conflict with emulator message" but I will uninstall and try playing it without the 1.5 patch (which detects emulators) and will get back to you.

Yeah you're pretty wrong. As before stated, it says I have an emulator or something open. I do not. It runs fine with my video card. One of the patches lets your not play if you have an emulator open. I can play the regular multiplayer fine.

You have anything like Alcohol, Daemon Tools or any other virtual drive type softeare installed? If so that is what the game (actually Securom or Tages, don't remember which the game used) is detecting.

I have the same problem with the 1.50 patch. Would Securom detect daemon tool lite and daemon tool gadget even though i don't run them???
