just to ask i play on one server and i get kicked buy punkbuster for not downloading PB updates , and on other servers i dont get kicket at all do i need to get a update from somewhere

This should help you out with updating it: PunkBuster Online Countermeasures.
Just download & run PBSetup, then check for updates.

You will probably need to manually install updates for Pb given that it doesn't always do it itself.

It's a pity we have to use it at all as it isn't worth having installed at all, it's dated, ppl are hacking in BC2 with monotonous regularity. Basically Pb is over rated and mostly out and out bullshit.

Here in OZ the game is hosted on GA,Node and FL servers that don't even stream to Pb so it can't work anyways cos Pb never see the data. Everyone here knows who is hacking cos the stats give them away but Pb never detects them so they never get a Ban.

Unfortunately it has to be installed or you have to play on non Pb servers which are not rated and crawling with hackers.

Nothing will change with BF3 as it will still feature EA's flaky servers, bullshit server browser,crap net code and hit detection etc etc.

I have been watching recently interviews with John Carmack (ID software) and it seems to me if ID can release games that for the most part are bug free etc then why can't EA, Betheseda etc. Answer is its the money.like most business's now days it's all about ripping the most out of your pocket while delivering the cheapest,shoddiest just works services they can get away with.

Probably not...you can go to evenbalance (love the bullshit name) and update manually but PB catch very few hackers so

I'm thinking I'm not going to bother with BF3....it will be the same re PB and what I posted above.

It is just sad that so many feel they need to cheat..I just got off a server with a player called topdog..80kills 2 deaths..shot me with a pistol from half the map away lol..I call him a hacker...using aimbot most likely and undetected by PB

Well you can't unless it's your server and your Admin and can Ban players ....the stats give hackers away mostly..your in the UK so maybe try finding a server that streams to Pb...TAB key brings up player stats if you want to look...
speed hacks are obvious but others are not so.
