BFME2 will not start.

Yes, i installed this game earlier on my newly built pc. The game ran so i updated and checked and again the game still ran but i have a 22inch monitor and the game doesnt include the resolution so i edited the options.ini. Since then the game will not start, if i click the exe or short cut nothing happens.

I tried a nocd and it would run but problem is i installed the game to play with friends on gameranger so a nocd wont do. Ive uninstalled around 5 times and reinstalled but since then the 'My battle for middle-earth' folder isnt even being installed, ive tried making the folder + options.ini but it doesnt change anything the game still will not start.

Ive searched high and low to find a fix for this but to no avail! i really need help with this.

Just tried without the disc in drive and same thing happens, so it doesnt even get as far as to read the disc.


Ive tried every fix i can find, ive done everything but restore my pc to factory settings, would be nice to restore to yesterday but that feature was removed . I just dont get why when i replace the game.dat with a nocd version the game will run but if i want to play online the original and genuine the game wont even attempt to start.


have the same problem with Generals + expansion. Thought id try them being EA and from the same time. Tried the same fixes everyone else says and nope nothing but works with a crack.... any way i can see if there is something conflicting with these programs?
