... WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM TUESDAY TO 7 PM EST WEDNESDAY...
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PITTSBURGH HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW... WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM TUESDAY TO 7 PM EST WEDNESDAY. THE WINTER STORM WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.
A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL DEVELOP ACROSS THE OHIO VALLEY EARLY TUESDAY MORNING. THIS LOW... COMBINED WITH ANOTHER LOW DEVELOPING ACROSS THE SOUTHERN GULF STATES WILL PULL ADDITIONAL MOISTURE INTO THE REGION. THIS SYSTEM WILL ALLOW FOR SNOW... WHICH MAY BE HEAVY AT TIMES... TO PUSH INTO THE AREA STARTING TUESDAY MORNING AND CONTINUE INTO WEDNESDAY. THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING... STORM TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 8 TO 14 INCHES CAN BE EXPECTED.
AS THE STORM MOVES EAST OF THE AREA WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON... BRISK NORTHWESTERLY WINDS WILL BEGIN TO GUST TO 20 TO 30 MPH WITH SNOW SHOWERS CONTINUING. THIS WILL ALLOW FOR BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW TO DEVELOP.

Yes, just saw it on the news. We ,in the NY metro area, just missed the last big one. My area in CT should get 8-12 this time.

looks like weatherman is reverting back to normal now, they missed the forecast for my area. downgraded to 6-10 inches now. still have not got anything as of yet so maybe even not even getting that

Hey looks like there's someone on the forum that lives in the same state I do. Looks like up here in the central part of PA will be getting somewhere around 10 inches. I hope its all virtual snow so I can get out my virtual snow blower for it.:roflmao:

Started snowing here at the Jersey shore about 9:00 pm. So far, we've gotten about 3 inches, and according to the forecast maps on the Weather Channel, we're due for 12+ inches total.

Dallas might get a whooping 1 inch of snow and that will shut down the entire city. I find it very funny as I'm from up north. Ya'll who are getting feet of snow, stay warm and don't go out if you dont' need to.

Just got up and the snow is falling fast and furious. It is suppose to end after midnight.

we got around 7 inches or so so far and calling for 1-2 inches more. local township has decided not to plow till storm is over, how nice of them

this winter reminds of the winters we used to have in the 70's when i was a kid. constant snow and did not see the ground till spring.

Both of these storms completely missed us. Skiing and snowmobiling are at a virtual standstill. Even the ski resorts that make their own snow are in bad shape. The crust on the snow is so hard that I can go for a walk in the woods in my slippers. Am headed to Florida on the 21st and at the moment it is only 9 degrees (F) warmer there than here.
