Yep might leave it and just try the drivers if anything is playing up. I have other problems at the moment as the cursor keeps jumping to other lines or locking on the last letter and highlights everything if I move it

Exactly. Like Shin mentioned; Indeed he is correct; "if it ain't broken; dont fix it". I was thinking about doing the same thing and updating the bios on my motherboard; but then i thought about and i said nope!. Because Ive had no issues with mine.

Yep am leaving it as is I found it was probably the touchpad being brushed against so disabled it and seems to be working fine.

Now it is just this machine looks like a clean install

Look at the Mouse settings in Control Panel for a box to tick to disable touchpad when USB mouse is detected.

I looked in there mate as I like a slow click fast speed large mouse and it didn't have it in there.
I had to download the Asus Smart Gesture and do it from there. It is only one small bit of bloat and it isn't going to be that big a deal.

Still got problems with the 7 install I cannot use any USB ports or the NVidia GTX 860M as 7 doesn't "see" the NVidia whereas I can see it listed in HW Info and Speccy. I have downloaded and installed the NVidia driver/s but it makes no difference.

This means one of three things I either send the new SSD to the seller and let them sort it (they reckon they can image my SSD with the 7 - plus I could send the whole machine) or use the original spinner drive and 8 in 7 style (very slow) which I am leaning toward and wait to buy a 1TB SSD to clone the wretched thing or risk the BIOS update to get the 7 drivers and I am not sure of what is the best course of action.

I am of course stupid in not taking the option of them supplying this rather nice machine with an SSD and 7 but maybe it would not have run the NVidia as I previously described and I would still be in a bit of a hole.

I have contacted Asus support that left me with not much in the way of a solution because I don't think the operator had much idea of what my problem was he was (apart form the language barrier) a tad vague. I found that quite annoying and really frustrating that Asus seem to have made this machine with 8 in mind I suppose and made it difficult to run 7 without making major changes to the BIOS.
