It's a near certainty that you can flash the bios.

The questions you should ask yourself are:

Have I located the proper new bios for my particular motherboard?

Do I know how to do it?

Why am I doing this?

If it goes wrong, you are in big trouble.

Have to research for it, and since the stock bios dosn't have the option for overclocking, i think i can give it a try

Whoa!!!

It's an Intel board.

You can't put the bios of your choice on a motherboard.

It must be made for that particular board.

Intel boards are good products, but not known to have a bios with overclocking choices.

A new bios is not likely to solve that problem--it will not have good overclocking choices either.

If you want to overclock, you would have to get a motherboard designed with that in mind--such as an Asus or Gigabyte. They are usually good quality and the bioses have the choices overclockers like--voltage adjustments, RAM speed adjustments, etc.

You can go to Intel site and research the most recent bios for that board, but I would be very surprised if it had any improvements an overclocker might use.

I have an Intel board myself, but I never intended to overclock. Intel boards are generally sold to people who don't have any interest in overclocking.

Hmm good piece of knowledge thanks. I did a mistake back in 2008 buying an Intel board. they are good though.
