What kind of win7 install disk is this? Is it Retail, i.e. did you buy it from a store in a box?

Or is it part of an upgrade kit that you got from Dell?

What OS did your computer come preinstalled with (if any) and when did you buy this computer?

Hi,

The BIOS in your PC is not compatible with windows 7 - you need to update this before proceeding

This update should be available from Dell I believe A09 is the latest

Start here ....
Welcome to Dell Support

I would suggest you follow the asset tag ID route to ensure full compatibility

If you do not feel comfortable with this type of advanced updating I would suggest you contact a local IT Pro, although BIOS updates are a lot less risky that they were it is still important to follow instructions to the letter
