You may have had the BIOS settings backwards. When you install a new graphics card, the BIOS should default to using that, instead of onboard graphics (which usually suck).

It sounds like you had it (or the manufacturer) set backwards, causing onboard graphics to be default instead of your BETTER graphics card.

so is the setting i have correct or no? pci/peg? i am getting way more fps in my game and the graphics all in all look way better....i am assuming i have it set ok. logic tells me pci means the pci express slot and you would want your pc to use that as its main graphics processor and not the onboard chipset intel graphics crap. shame that i ordered a really expensive graphics card because i thought the nvidia 210 i had wasn't making a difference. i put in my old nvidia 9400 gt atm and it is set at half graphics and getting 60fps where i had set it all at minimum for my game getting about 17 to 20fps where i am assuming the pc was using the intel graphics chipset instead of the 210 card. ordered an ati radeon hd 4850 for $130 instead of the $60 the nvidia 210 costs. now i know that the 210 would be more then enough to set my graphics at 75% or 100% and get 80 or so fps. gonna return the radeon 4850 which i cant use anyway because i have a low 300 watt power supply and the radeon wants a 450 watt supply. good thing i checked before i turned on the pc and fried/melted things lol. just gonna pay the 15% open box fee and get the nvidia 210 or 220 i think for way less than $130. XD tyvm just want to make sure pci/peg is where it should be. it was at peg/pci like i said before i changed it. tried pci/igd and lost any moniter feed so i had to take out the nvidia 9400 and set it back to pci/peg to get it working again. ugh pcs are a pain. XD
